Our jewelry is handmade using original Baltic Sea Amber that is over 45 million years old. Baltic Amber has some of the highest concentrations of Succinic Acid found in nature and this is what makes it so special. Fossilized tree sap that has been preserved for millions of years under the sea. It is a true gift from Mother Nature. This style is paired with natural gemstones of agate and jade too! The string on each of our necklaces and bracelets is knotted by hand in between each and every bead, so should the necklace break (which it should if necessary), the rest of the beads will not scatter. The jewelry fastens with a classic screw clasp that opens and closes easily.

Which size should I select?

We recommend measuring your or your little ones neck/ankle/wrist with a string to ensure the greatest fit! Since everyone is a different size at various stages in life, it is the best way to determine which length will be the best!
*You ONLY want to be able to fit two fingers underneath the necklace when it’s on the babe, that’s a good fit! However, you do not want them to be able to pull it up and over their chin.

How do I care for my amber jewelry and can it get wet?

You would care for Amber just as you would your skin.  It can be worn all the time and in the shower, in the sea and while swimming. We do recommend that you remove the jewelry if you’re going to be swimming in a chlorinated pool as the chemicals that can be rather harsh on your skin will have the same affects on the jewelry. However, it can be worn with other metals and as long as the soaps are natural there shouldn’t be any problems with it coming in contact with the jewelry.

Canyon Leaf does not offer repairs on jewelry that has been worn.  Please note that amber jewelry is made with delicate tree resin and that care should be taken whenever the jewelry is taken on or off.  Over-tightening of the jewelry may cause that clasp to crack; please twist close gently and remember to treat your amber jewelry gently so that it may be preserved + enjoyed for many years! The clasp WILL come loose from the cord if and when the Safety Mechanism is triggered due to pulling or tugging on the necklace; this is not considered to be a defect, when in fact the jewelry is performing, exactly as it should.

We do not accept worn or used jewelry for any reason; these pieces will be discarded upon receiving, for sanitation purposes. Please keep your beads, they are wonderful to repurpose, however you may choose!
